AMS Library

The Anahuac Middle School Library serves students in Anahuac ISD grades 6-8.  The library currently houses more than 8,000 library books and more than 3,000 textbooks for student use.

The AMS Library also houses a computer lab for research, testing and document creation.

The library is open on school days from 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Library Services

Reading services

The library works to encourage and support student reading. In order to help students find books that may be of interest to them, library staff creates a big-screen electronic slide show that features author spotlights, students' book reviews, campus news, birthdays and book videos.

An electronic book search program is also available for students to use.   The library staff also assists with AR testing as well as Accelerated Math scanning and printing.

Research services

AMS library books and computers are utilized for student research. Library staff will also obtain books from other AISD campuses or the Chambers County Library to support research, as needed.

For more information, please feel free to contact Mrs. Hawthorne.
