Elementary School Library

Anahuac Elementary Library

Anahuac Elementary Library serves students enrolled in Pre-K through 5th grade. We exist to help students with both pleasure reading and research.

The Library will attempt to contact parents and or guardians via e-mail through out the year regarding books and their status.  Please notify the Library of any changes to your e-mail address or with any preferences for these notices.

The hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Reading Services

Anahuac Elementary School Library services all students at Anahuac Elementary, including students too young to read! We have story time for the Pre-K and Kindergarten students.  In first grade we have check-out time along with lessons about the library.  The books in the library support the curriculum with both fiction and non-fiction books.  We also have many books that support the AR curriculum.

Students visit the library with their teacher on a weekly basis.  We ask that students bring all of their library books with them each week to encourage them to keep track of them.  Thank you, parents, for helping your students keep track of their books!

Lost a book?  Short on cash?  The library accepts trades.  We will take a book as payment for the one that was lost.  We only ask that the book be a hard back book.

Research Services

The library also helps students learn how to find answers to their problems. This is done through library lessons and collaboration with teachers.
